Abstract
Background Sport medicine was found as strong tool in enhancing human health. It is often used in the treatment of chronical diseases non communicable. This research aimed to show the effect of sports medicine on stroke disease. This study was a quasi-experimental work out with mixite methods approaches. The research sampling were 50 patients from different location of Burundi and abroad who were suffering from stroke. Data collecting technique was playground by using a modified program of sports medicine like Neuromuscular therapy, physiotherapy, masso-therapy, physical activities, proprioceptive therapy, cognitive therapy and sport nutrition. The data analyzing using Paired T-Test, Compared means of variables tested: Range of motion, strengthen, flexibility, Ortho phony, Cognitive. The results shown that there was a strong significant different between the pre-test and posttest of the all variables tested within a P(value) 0.001<0,05. The result from this presentation showed that Sports Medicine is a multidisciplinary clinical and academic specialty, recognized by the majority of the World Countries and it most used as branch of Medicine for athletes and non-athletes in improving human health. In conclusion the sports medicine focused on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries related to sports and physical activity. It combined medical knowledge with exercise science and aims to optimize athletes' performance while minimizing the risk of injuries.
